Jordan Newell has served within the Defense, Aerospace and Maritime industries for over 18 years.  As a long time resident of Maryland, he began his life with humble beginnings which led to a life of service.  At 18 years of age, Jordan joined the U.S. Navy and served within the Special Operations community, with specialties in Advanced Emergency Medicine, Diving, Mountaineering, and Special Reconnaissance/Deep Reconnaissance.   He holds a Masters Degree in Business, Bachelors in Business, in the final phases of his MS (STEM), and is a prospective doctoral candidate.

After leaving active duty service, Jordan began his journey within the Defense and Intelligence communities serving within several Task Force level teams, supporting Counterterrorism, SOTF/CJSOTF, WPPS/WPS and OGA activities.   Jordan specializes in utilizing and deploying emerging and disruptive technologies to support the end users in his fields of study.  He has various deployments in and out of uniform to contested theaters throughout the world, with a focus on CENTCOM and emerging INDOPACOM interests.

Flash forward, Jordan is the CEO of Darkroot Technologies; a Veteran Owned Small Business located in Maryland; specializing in emerging and disruptive technologies consulting, and joint community training.  On his free time, Jordan volunteers as a Public Safety Diver, EMT, WEMT, Swiftwater Rescue Technician and Technical Rescue Technician along with volunteering for events with Wounded Warrior Foundation, United Way, Heroes on the Water, Go Ruck and other therapeutic organizations for those in need.

Darkroot Technologies provides direct support to the DoD/IC communities performing strategic consultant work, architecting and deploying current emerging and disruptive technologies, active contract and training services support.  Darkroot Technologies serves as a strategic vendor support firm with specialties in Intelligence, Joint All Domain Warfare, Multi-Domain Operations, Maritime and C6ISR and a full training portfolio.
